INTERINDUSTRY SYNERGY AND GLOBAL AGENDA: RESULTS OF KIOSH, NDT QAZAQSTAN AND KTIF 2026

FROM APRIL 28 TO 30, 2026, KAZAKHSTAN HOSTED A LARGE-SCALE COMPLEX OF INDUSTRY EVENTS BRINGING TOGETHER THE 14TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION KIOSH 2026, THE 5TH KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING AND TECHNICAL DIAGNOSTICS” NDT QAZAQSTAN 2026, AS WELL AS THE KAZAKHSTAN TEXTILE INDUSTRY FORUM KTIF 2026.

These events became an important interindustry platform demonstrating a high level of engagement from the professional community, the relevance of the agenda, and sustained interest from businesses, government bodies, and international organizations.

The key event was KIOSH 2026 exhibition, which brought together 92 companies from 9 countries: Azerbaijan, Belgium, India, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Russia, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. Out of the total number of participants, 48 companies represented Kazakhstan, while 44 were international exhibitors, confirming the high level of international participation. At the same time, for 18 companies participation became a debut, which indicates growing interest in the platform and the attraction of new industry players.

Thanks to this combination of international exhibitors and an active exhibition audience, the exhibitions became a point of attraction for various market segments. In total, 3,819 professionals visited the events over the three days, confirming the growing industry interest in such platforms.

The exhibition’s business program was extensive and included a series of practical seminars, sessions, workshops, and master classes from the Republican Research Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. In addition, specialized seminars were held by ENERGOCONTRACT Group of Companies, Modern Monitoring Technologies LLP, INFORM GLOBAL PROJECT LLP, as well as a working at heights master class from PO Global Spetsodezhda LLP. Particular attention from participants was drawn to the first aid master class for fainting and cardiac arrest conducted by 1aid.kz organization, which emphasized the importance of practical skills within the occupational safety system.

The conference part of KIOSH 2026 brought together 62 speakers from 8 countries: Australia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Russia, and Switzerland. The program included 11 specialized sessions and a business game covering key areas of industry development. Within the framework of the first day, April 28, discussions focused on advanced trends in occupational safety and industrial safety. The central event became the strategic plenary session “Artificial Intelligence: How Kazakhstan is Shaping a New Safety Model”. Panel sessions also included “Modern Approaches and Digital Solutions in Occupational Risk Management Systems”, “AI and Analytics for Risk Forecasting”, “Social Insurance in the Era of Labour Transformation: A New Architecture of Responsibility and the Role of Artificial Intelligence”, and “Industrial Medicine: New Regulatory Requirements and Implementation Practices”. An important element of the program was the International Labour Organization expert session “Safe and Healthy Work in a Changing World: Global Trends, Digitalization, Social Dialogue”.

The second day, April 29, was dedicated to the development of corporate safety culture and modern approaches to risk management. On this day, the panel session “Focus on Industrial Safety as Part of Corporate Culture”, the HSE Leadership panel “How to Manage Critical Risks and Prevent Major Incidents”, as well as the training session “Confined Space Operations” were held. The concluding elements of the program included a foresight session summarizing the results of KIOSH 2026 and the occupational safety tournament in the Safety Games quiz format, allowing participants to reinforce acquired knowledge in an interactive format.

Alongside KIOSH 2026, the 5th Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics” NDT Qazaqstan 2026 was held, featuring 8 companies from 3 countries: Kazakhstan, China, and Russia. The business program held on April 29 included the plenary session “Non-Destructive Testing as the Basis of Industrial Safety and Sustainable Development in Kazakhstan” and the specialized session “Diagnostics and Monitoring of Oil and Gas Facilities: Corrosion, Hydrogen Risks, Reliability”. The discussion topics highlighted the critical role of diagnostic technologies in ensuring infrastructure safety and sustainable industrial development.

An additional element of the business program was the Kazakhstan Textile Industry Forum KTIF 2026, held on April 28 with the official support of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Within the framework of the forum, the plenary session “Measures of State Support for the Textile Industry in Kazakhstan” took place, during which key industry stimulation mechanisms were discussed. The session was attended by key market players including Kazakhstan Fashion Week, AGF Group, Retail Partners, and representatives of QazTrade, the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan, Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund, and Atameken NCE. A trilateral dialogue “Personnel for the Textile Industry” was also held with the participation of QazIndustry, KazUTB, ATU and others, during which issues of specialist training and human capital development were discussed.

Thus, the events demonstrated a comprehensive approach to the development of key sectors of the economy, combining issues of industrial safety, technological diagnostics, and the textile industry. The wide geography of participants, extensive business program, and high level of expert participation confirmed the importance of these platforms as an effective tool for knowledge exchange, implementation of innovations, and the formation of sustainable professional connections both at the national and international levels.
